About Vamos Counseling

Care that helps you move forward.

Therapy should feel professional, warm, and genuinely human. Vamos Counseling was created to offer thoughtful support that respects your story, your language, and your pace.

Vamos means
“let’s go.”

It is an invitation to move, connect, and believe that the next step is possible.

Our name, our purpose

Why “Vamos”?

The name is not an accident. Vamos — Spanish for “let’s go” — captures exactly what this practice stands for, in three ways.

01

Movement

Many people arrive feeling stuck — caught in anxiety, OCD, or a life transition that makes the next step feel impossible. Vamos is the belief that forward is possible.

02

Together

Vamos does not mean “you go” — it means we go. Some things cannot be carried in isolation. We need support, connection, and a space where we do not have to do it all alone.

03

Encouragement

Vamos carries energy you do not always find in a clinical setting: the spirit of someone beside you saying, “Let’s do this.” That is the tone of every session here.

Meet your therapist

Hi, I’m Karin Lopez Reyna.

A licensed mental health counselor with more than a decade of experience helping people face what feels too hard to face alone.

My path to this work was not accidental. Professional experiences early in my career fundamentally changed how I understood anxiety, OCD, and what it actually takes to help someone move through them. Evidence-based approaches like ERP are not simply techniques I was trained in — they are frameworks I have seen transform lives, and they are at the center of how I work.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with professionals from different industries, first-, second-, and third-generation immigrants, expats, teachers, therapists, and adults ready to begin a new chapter. What they have in common is not only a diagnosis — they are insightful, motivated, and ready to do meaningful work.

This practice was built with you in mind. It is bilingual — English and Spanish — because the language you use to describe your inner life matters. It is virtual because your time matters. And it is warm, direct, and goal-oriented because that is what helps create real movement.

What you can expect

Professional care that still feels human.

The work is evidence-based, but the relationship is never clinical or cold. Your care is shaped around who you are and what you need.

Evidence-based

Practical, research-informed tools such as ERP, CBT, and ACT are used thoughtfully — never as a one-size-fits-all formula.

Person-centered

Your culture, language, experiences, needs, and goals guide the process. You are treated as a whole person, not a diagnosis.

Goal-oriented

Sessions are warm and collaborative, while remaining focused on meaningful progress you can recognize in your daily life.

Ready when you are

Let’s take the next step together.

You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can begin with a conversation.
